Terrible Two's

This is the work of my Two year old.
Nice huh?
Sharpie on the wall & cotton swab tin.

Sharpie on the wall & towels.
Sharpie on the side of the bathtub.
This is what's left of the sharpie that I could not scrub off.
There was also marker on the mirror and counter
and don't forget the kid.

Other signs that Ty is two:
He likes to remove his clothes & diaper.
He has removed his diaper then proceeded to poop on the floor and toys.
He likes to throw my folded, clean clothes all over the floor.
He LOVES to try my patience every.single.day.
Good thing I LOVE him so much!!!

Poor Thumb

This is what your thumb looks like
when you try to hot glue an alligator clip to it!
Not smart!

Narrow Escape

Sorry about the sideways picture.
This is my curio cabinet. It has been in this same spot for 5 years.
Until yesterday we never had an issue with it's placement.
During lunch time Jeremy was home playing with the kids.
All three of them, I was tending, were running and laughing.
I was in the kitchen thinking how wonderful it is to hear little children's laughter...
when I heard a loud crash of glass.
I threw the dishes I was cleaning and came running to the living room.
I knew it was either Ty or the little boy I was tending.
When I rounded the corner Rayce was lying in the cabinet face first with his arms outstretched.
Jeremy was already starting to pick him up.
I said over and over, "Please tell me he is okay."
We were both prepared to see lots of blood and have to race him to the ER.

To our surprise!
This is what we saw!!!
This is the adorable face of Rayce!
As you can see there is barely a scratch on the left side of his forehead.
Thank Heaven for little miracles!
There were some glass shards in his hair and on his shirt.
I took him straight to the bathtub to clean him up.
The most traumatic part for him....
getting the shampoo rinsed out of his hair!

Easter Snow

It snowed in Delta on Easter this year. Weird huh?
This is the kids' snow bunny!

This is a picture of my Mom with most of her Grandkids.
We take annual Easter family pictures. They are fun to look back on.
We usually take a pic with both my parents and all their Grandkids
but my Dad was working. We sure missed him.
This was the first year that snowmen made an appearance.

Here is the snow family: Mom, Dad, Kid & Pet!
Aren't they cute all dressed up!
Even the Mom has a bow in her hair.

Sand Dunes

Is there anything better than Coke and Cupcakes!?
Throw in Cheetos and the meal is complete!
McKinley & Ty with cousins, Keegan & Lexie.

Ty working on a sand castle.

We love to jump off the sand dunes!
Go Kinley!!!

Go Travis!!
Is he Spiderman or a Spartan? I'm not sure.

Easter 2010...the good, the bad, the ugly.

So Easter was interesting this year. We went to Delta for the weekend as we always do. We had fun coloring eggs on Friday night! Saturday we woke up to some pretty cold weather, however, my Mom insisted we head to the sand dunes anyway. I was not very happy about it. But we got there and the weather was beautiful! We had so much fun playing in the sand and riding 4-wheelers! McKinley and Ty had a wonderful time getting sand in every single part of their clothing. Then we went swimming at the local pool. Again we had a great time!

Sunday we woke up the a few inches of snow on the ground. Are you kidding me!??! I have never has a snowy Easter before. Kinley was more excited about the snow than the easter bunny. Grandma is a total trooper and took all the kids out to build a snowman. They had a wonderful time and made 3 snowmen and 1 snow bunny! We took our annual family pictures by them. I will have to post those later. All in all we had a great time in Delta!!

Later that day we were traveling to Cedar City to spend some time with Jeremy's family. What happens on the way home??? We get pulled over....Not once but twice. Seriously?!? How crappy can it get? Thankfully it resulted in only one ticket but I was still pretty pissed about it.

When we arrived at the in-laws we were surprised to find out the whole family was coming for dinner. Yep, 8 out of 11 kids and their kids and their kids were there. It was a house full that we were not prepared for. So of course Ira was edgy and everyone felt it. We went home pretty early cause we were tired and were feeling antsy. When were got home we got a phone call that informed us of a rather large family feud at the Reynolds residence shortly after we left. That is the ugly part. I'm glad we weren't a part of it cause Jeremy would have had a lot to say.

So I am thankful Easter is over this year. I'm glad we all traveled safely, fast but safe. And I pray the Reynolds family can resolve their issues and we can all be a happy, close family again.
