Easter Snow

It snowed in Delta on Easter this year. Weird huh?
This is the kids' snow bunny!

This is a picture of my Mom with most of her Grandkids.
We take annual Easter family pictures. They are fun to look back on.
We usually take a pic with both my parents and all their Grandkids
but my Dad was working. We sure missed him.
This was the first year that snowmen made an appearance.

Here is the snow family: Mom, Dad, Kid & Pet!
Aren't they cute all dressed up!
Even the Mom has a bow in her hair.

Sand Dunes

Is there anything better than Coke and Cupcakes!?
Throw in Cheetos and the meal is complete!
McKinley & Ty with cousins, Keegan & Lexie.

Ty working on a sand castle.

We love to jump off the sand dunes!
Go Kinley!!!

Go Travis!!
Is he Spiderman or a Spartan? I'm not sure.

Easter 2010...the good, the bad, the ugly.

So Easter was interesting this year. We went to Delta for the weekend as we always do. We had fun coloring eggs on Friday night! Saturday we woke up to some pretty cold weather, however, my Mom insisted we head to the sand dunes anyway. I was not very happy about it. But we got there and the weather was beautiful! We had so much fun playing in the sand and riding 4-wheelers! McKinley and Ty had a wonderful time getting sand in every single part of their clothing. Then we went swimming at the local pool. Again we had a great time!

Sunday we woke up the a few inches of snow on the ground. Are you kidding me!??! I have never has a snowy Easter before. Kinley was more excited about the snow than the easter bunny. Grandma is a total trooper and took all the kids out to build a snowman. They had a wonderful time and made 3 snowmen and 1 snow bunny! We took our annual family pictures by them. I will have to post those later. All in all we had a great time in Delta!!

Later that day we were traveling to Cedar City to spend some time with Jeremy's family. What happens on the way home??? We get pulled over....Not once but twice. Seriously?!? How crappy can it get? Thankfully it resulted in only one ticket but I was still pretty pissed about it.

When we arrived at the in-laws we were surprised to find out the whole family was coming for dinner. Yep, 8 out of 11 kids and their kids and their kids were there. It was a house full that we were not prepared for. So of course Ira was edgy and everyone felt it. We went home pretty early cause we were tired and were feeling antsy. When were got home we got a phone call that informed us of a rather large family feud at the Reynolds residence shortly after we left. That is the ugly part. I'm glad we weren't a part of it cause Jeremy would have had a lot to say.

So I am thankful Easter is over this year. I'm glad we all traveled safely, fast but safe. And I pray the Reynolds family can resolve their issues and we can all be a happy, close family again.

I Love JoAnn's!

I had a crazy idea this morning.
I went to JoAnn's to buy some more bow making materials
and came home with this!
The printed fabric was on sale 50% off!
So...the above fabric is what I chose to make a quilt for Ty.
The below fabric is what I chose to make a quilt for McKinley.
I know they don't exactly match but they do have similar colors.
I am excited to make them but I am getting WAY ahead of myself.
I am planning on them being for Christmas.
Way to get a head start right!!!

This is the rest of my purchase. 1/2 yard for hair bows
and 2 - 8 yard spools of organza!

My grand total......$53!
Not bad for 16 yards organza
and 20 1/2 yards of fabric!
I love you JoAnn's!!!

Broken Glasses

Check out these sweet, broken glasses.

I had stayed up too late on night and I was dozing on the couch in the morning.
Kinley comes down crying to tell me she did something bad.
I went up to her room to find these glasses.....broken.
I didn't say much about it cause she already felt bad and knew what she did was wrong.
PLUS......they were still under warranty!! Thanks for that!
So we got them saudered together and ordered both new frames and lenses FOR FREE!
Five days later Ty broke the other side of the glasses.
So Daddy took them to work and saudered that side together.
I know I can't complain. This is the first time they have been broken in 8 months. For being a 3/4 year old with glasses she has done a great job.
Needless to say. McKinley has new glasses and all is fine.

Cutest Kid!

I took the kids to the library a few days ago. I couldn't resist taking a picture of Ty. This kid is so cute! I love him to death! He got this backpack for Christmas, once it was weighed down with books it went clear down to his knees. So cute! And he thought he was so BIG! That's Kinley clear up ahead of him with her cute backpack on too.

Hair Bows!

Check out all my new creations/addictions! Seriously I think about making hair bows all the time! I have decided to sell them if anyone wants some just let me know. I'm charging $3 per bow, $6 per set. The pinwheel bobby pins are $1 per set. I'm not sure if I can get the materials for the last one. It may not be available.
