New Glasses Day!

McKinley in her new glasses!

Kinley has now had glasses for a year and a half. Three days ago she got a new pair! These are only her second pair of glasses. She has done really well with them. We had the first pair for 8 months before they got broke. However, we did spend the last 4 or 5 months super gluing them together. Mostly because Ty likes to rip them off her face and throw them when he is mad at her.

Once January came around it was time for a new pair! Kinley picked these out all by herself. Personally they are not my favorite but I'm not the one that has to wear them. They are princess Ariel glasses! She loves them. The new place we went treated her like a princess and that made me really happy.
Now look closely.
Can you see it?
They are bifocals.

As most of you know McKinley has a "lazy eye". Her right eye tends to wonder. I have learned so much about this condition it is really interesting. Anyway, we patched her for a year and a half and she did okay with that. It did improve her eye a lot but the doctor felt we had corrected it as much a possible with the patch and now need to retrain it, hence the bifocals. Bifocals will teach her eyes to work together to see correctly both near and far. So far she has done amazing with bifocals! I have to admit I was worried. She is doing great and I have not noticed her eye wondering much with them! Cross our fingers that this will work for her.

I LOVE THIS GIRL!!!

Our 7th Anniversary!

This post is mostly just for me to remember. I don't keep a journal. It might be kind of boring and there are no pictures so don't feel like obligated to read it.

This past weekend was our 7th Anniversary! We had the best time! Friday night we headed to Delta with the kids. We spent the night there then headed up to Salt Lake. We got to Orem and stopped for some seafood! So yummy. Then we did a little shopping at the University Mall.

We then drove to Murray and checked into our hotel, provided my EVCO. It was the annual company party so we stayed in a nice King suite for the night. After check in a sprucing up a bit we went to West Valley for the company party. We had so much fun! It was long but one of the better parties we have been to. They had Polynesian food with music and booty shakin' music. The entertainment was fun and we danced a little and laughed a lot! Thanks EVCO and friends for the fun time!

Sunday was our actual anniversary. Keep in mind we are simple people and we have never done more than go out to dinner for our anniversary so being out of town was a big deal!! Plus we didn't have any kids with us! SCORE!!!

We spent most of our day at the Gateway. We took in a movie and laughed! Then we did some shopping for ourselves, okay mostly me! Thanks honey!! We wondered around, talked and held hands! So fun to reconnect. We had plans for a fabulous dinner at Tucanos but they were closed since it was sunday. I was so disappointing but I decided not to let that spoil our day. We ate at Z Tejas instead and it was delicious!

Then it was time to head to our room!! Wink, Wink! We stayed at the Anniversary Inn! It was so fun and different for us. We stayed in the Phantom of the Opera room. We chose that room cause it had an amazing tub. It was a great time. We slept in until they brought breakfast to our room at 10. It was so nice and relaxing. And for those guys out there, we did watch most of the Super Bowl.

On monday morning we started making our way back home. We stopped in Provo and ate at Tucano's. It is so good! If you haven't tried it you should go. Then we went to Delta and pick up the kids from my parent's. It was a fabulous weekend!! Thanks to my parent's for keeping the kids and a huge thanks to my Hubby for such a wonderful Anniversary weekend! I love Jeremy way, way, way more now then I did 7 years ago!!!

Fun with friends

We have been having lots of fun with friends around our house lately!
This is a pic of my kids painting with their best friend, we also call her
our 4th child, B.!!
Ty is working pretty hard on that airplane.
Kinley making sure all of her colors get used.
What a beautiful butterfly!
Being ballerinas!
This is Kinley's newest favorite outfit!
She dresses in this everyday and only puts on "real clothes" when I make her.
Now they are being SUPER HERO'S!!
This was a great activity cause it brought back old memories for me!
They had a blast for a few days with towels around their necks!

Fun stuff not pictured:
Making a hut with a blanket over the table.
Playing drums on the laundry baskets.
And many, many pictures created and painted.

Southern Utah Snow

It snowed earlier this month!
It was so much fun the kids and I went out to build snowmen...
to bad I didn't take a picture of them.
This is my yard with snow in it.
Palm tree covered in snow.
Weird.
Check it out. Almost 2 inches.
It was all melted by the end of the day.
But, hey, at least we enjoyed it for a while.

Christmas Crafts

Candy cane snowmen!
I was well prepared during Christmas time and got a lot done
so I decided to make these to go with our neighborhood treats.
Aren't they cute?
Kinley and I had a blast making them!
How many did we make?
About 36.
This is a cute plaque that I made for my Niece for Christmas!
She is a HUGE Dallas Cowboys fan.
Her Dad even took her to Texas to watch a game!
Spoiled girl.
I made these adorable plaques for the kids to hang their artwork
and other collectibles on.
This one is for my Niece Alix!
This one is for our sweet Brooky. She is like our 4th kid!
I couldn't think of anything that started with a B so she got "artwork" also.
This one is for my crafty Kinley!
I just love the bows and buttons on the bottom of the ribbon!
And this one is for my Ty-Ty!
I love how rustic and boyish this is!

I had so much fun making all these little crafts for Christmas! I love to personalize everything with color and character. I need to give a shout out to my friend and neighbor who helped me SO much with all of my crafts and with all of the vinyl. Thanks a ton Rachel!!!

Enjoying the Season!

How cute are we?!
We ventured out to the Mall on black friday for a little shopping and......
to see SANTA!!
Ty was not a big fan.
After we left he told Jeremy that he wants Santa to bring him dinosaurs.
McKinley, on the other hand, couldn't wait to see Santa!
She told Santa that she wants an Ariel Baby.
She is definitely counting down to Christmas!!!
We have this cute white tree that we put out every year,
this year Kinley suggested that we decorate it.
We had a great time out there last weekend!
And the weather was beautiful.
This is our finished product.
I hung the lights all by myself!!
This was the first time we have every hung lights on our house.
The kids and I had a ton of fun!
I am a little afraid of heights that is why the other roof is not lite up.
I was too scared to get up there.
It's not great but hey it's festive!!

Merry Christmas!!!

Happy Birthday to me!

Aren't they beautiful?!
My sweet hubby sent these to me for my birthday yesterday!
Oh how I LOVE him!!!!

Yes I know that it's a little weird to write about my own birthday but it was such a fabulous day! McKinley woke up and dressed herself then make straight to me, she gave me a big hug and said, "Happy Birthday Mommy!" It was a great way to start the day.

I took Kinley to preschool and spent the next 2 hours cleaning my house. I love to have a clean house and it needed it. The rest of the day was pretty normal other than lots of fun texts and calls and of course the flowers.

When Jeremy got home he had arranged for our Niece to come over and tend the kids so he and I could go out. We went to Cafe Rio it was so good. I haven't been there for about a year. After dinner we went and did some Christmas shopping. I love Christmas shopping with my hubby!

We came home around 10 and our poor kids were still waiting up for us cause they wanted to see me open presents. I got my favorite perfume and some cute new boots. Then we ate our cake and went to bed. It was a great day! Thanks to everyone who posted on facebook and texted me and called me and gave me awesome gifts. It was a wonderful birthday!!
