RIP Officer Josie Fox

As most of you know I am from Delta. That is where the female police officer was shot and killed about a week ago. It is a very sad and tragic story. I do not personally know Josie but it is a small town and I do know her family. Most of my family does know her on a personal basis.

My brother works for the city of Delta. He sent me these pictures. He had the honor or helping to raise and lower this flag just outside of the cemetery. He said her funeral was one of the most amazing things he has ever seen. Based on these pictures and the news I was able to watch I would have to agree.

Another interesting twist about this story that is extremely scary to me and my family....My brother lives right next door to the S.O.B. that killed her. It was very frightening when he was still on the run for more than 24 hours. I thank Heavenly Father that my family is safe.

Andy!

Do you all remember Raggedy-Ann? She came to be tended by McKinley a few months ago. She also has a lazy eye and glasses and needed Kinley to help her to wear her patch and glasses everyday. Well Raggedy-Ann is doing very well with them!

At Christmas her brother Andy came to join her at our house! We love having Andy around! He keeps Ann company and they are happy together.

We were pleasantly surprised to learn that Raggedy-Ann and Andy both get to live with us now! I thought we were just tending but they get to be a permanent part of our family! Thank you soooo much Deana! We love them both and we love you. You are a wonderful friend to our family!!

Bite! Ouch!

Check out McKinley's nose. Poor girl. This is what happens when your little brother decides to be a brat and bite your nose.

I was so mad. We were in Smith's a few weeks ago and Ty got mad at Kinley and bit her while I was checking out. I couldn't get to them because of the type of cart we had. He got a good talking to when I was able to move.

Seriously this boy is almost 2. Why has he decided to bite now? What should I do about it?

Happy New Year!

We brought in the New Year with Jeremy's family this year! It was a lot of fun. I am so fortunate to be a part of such a wonderful family. We ate lots of good food, as always, and played games, games, games. The Reynolds' family always plays tons of games. This is something I had to get used to. I am not much for games but I have to admit they are a lot of fun. We always end up laughing a ton and coming up with new inside jokes. It's great!

On New Year's Eve I was helping my Mother-in-law with the dishes. We were listening to her children talking and laughing. It was awesome to see how much joy they all brought her! I learned that as a parent you find joy in your children no matter how old they get. Marge was fortunate enough to have 7 for her 11 kids home for the holiday. It was awesome to see them all together enjoying each others company!!

Christmas!

We were so excited about Christmas that we forgot to take pics with the still camera. Sorry no pics to post but don't worry, we have lots of video! We had a wonderful Christmas this year. We spent both Christmas Eve and Christmas day with Jeremy's family. I love the Christmas Eve tradition they have of honoring Jesus Christ and his birth. This year I volunteered to do the program. My relief society did an awesome Christmas party this year so I pretty much just repeated the program they put together. It was so wonderful to feel the Christmas spirit!

My friend and I made the kids pajamas this year. They all looked so cute in them. Kinley had Dora with butterflies and the boys had what else, but Dallas Cowboys pj's. Super cute! Kinley asked Santa for a scooter this year. She was so disappointed when she walked in Christmas morning and did not see a scooter. She was very relieved when she opened the box that had been hiding her scooter!

The kids are at such a fun age! Kinley got so excited about everything she opened and so did Ty!! Travis is very respectful and thanked us for everything we got him. All the kids got lots of stuff they asked for so it was fun for all of us!

Jeremy is a wonderful husband! He totally hooked me up like he always does. He gave me two wonderful gifts this year among the others. He did the 12 days of Christmas for me....everyday he would write down a special, thoughtful reason why he loves me!!! He also took the kids to Brushfire and made me an awesome platter with all their hand prints on it! Priceless!!

Christmas Projects

The kids and I have been having lots of fun with Christmas projects this year! McKinley and her best friend, Aaliyah, had a great time last sunday making snowmen! It has been so fun to enjoy the season with my kids this year! They are getting old enough to have fun with it! We also made a snow flake project, which was a donation from a friend, and poinsettias from the library. Thanks Karen and Cyndi for providing us with fun projects to enjoy!!
