Can you say POP!

Oh how we love the 4th of July and we love the POP that goes along with it!!!
Today I bought 12, 12 packs of pop for our annual Delta celebration.
Okay it's not all soda as you can see there is lemonade and fruit punch.
I wish it was all COKE and all MINE!!

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY EVERYONE!!

The search was on...

Two days ago the search was totally on for these little guys!
McKinley went to the eye doctor and had to have her eyes dilated.
That meant 3 eye drops in each eye.
She was pretty upset so I bribed her, that's right, whatever works!
I told her I would get her a Jessie and Woody doll if she would be good and get the drops.
It worked like a charm and she did great.

The only problem.....finding the dolls.
We went to 5 stores of Monday night and came home empty handed.
We could find Jessie and Buzz but not Woody. It was a joke.
Oh Kinley was so upset.
I told her I made her a promise and she would get those dolls in the morning.
So thankfully Target was my saving grace!! Love you Target!

Look how happy this girl is!!!!
She has not put them down in 2 days.
She loves them!
You can't have Woody and Jessie without Buzz so Ty got him.
Well that and Ty is spoiled rotten.

They have had so much fun with these toys it was totally worth it.
Kinley's eye appointment went really well too.
It has been a year since she got her patch and glasses.
Her left eye has changes slightly and her right eye is the same.
Her lazy eye is starting to improve!!! Yay!!!
It does not wonder anymore when she looks at objects in the distance,
close up it still turns in.
Patching has been cut back to 4 hours a day!
So sweet!! I was very happy!

Jam, jam and more jam!

Let's make jam! Prepare to get started!
Had I bought just this many strawberries we would have been great.

This is the beginning process...just before my kitchen was COMPLETELY
taken over by strawberries and jars.

These are ALL the finished jars.
HOLY CRAP ARE YOU KIDDING ME?
There are 31 jars of jam there.

Okay so lesson learned. If you choose to make jam be more prepared for what you are getting in to. I bought 12 pounds of strawberries. I was not thinking. I thought I only had six. Yep, I am a blond. Due to my blond moment we had strawberries out our ears. After over 4 hours, 3 trips to the store, 24 jars and 25 pounds of sugar we got the jam done! Thank you so much to my WONDERFUL husband who is so AMAZING in the kitchen and so PATIENT with me! If it weren't for him this would have been a completely miserable process. Now we have enough jam to last us a few years!!

Delta & Reunion

Jeremy and Travis went to scout camp from June 14-20 so I decided to take the two little ones and head to Delta to spend some time with my family. We had a great time! We were in Delta for 3 days. We got to watch 2 nieces, 1 nephew and my sister-in-law all play softball. We also got to visit for a few minutes with 2 of my uncles and an aunt from up north. I got my hair dyed. And it is WAY too blond now. We would have loved to go boating and skiing at the res but it was too cold.

My kids love it at my parents house! For those of you who don't know, Delta is a small town. My parents house is surrounded by lots of beautiful grass. McKinley loved to play outside with her cousin Alix, who is her same age. Their favorite outside activities are jumping on the trampoline and playing on the swing set. They also love to play barbies and dress up. Ty LOVED that the doors were unlocked and he could open them. That kid was outside every time I turned around. It was so cool for him to run and play and for me not to worry!

On Thursday we head to Pine Lake for the annual Kirkland family reunion. I haven't been in 4 years so it was way fun to go. We had a great time camping and visit with our extended family. We also had a great time playing games and eating lots of good food!

I need to give a BIG shout out to my Dad! He is a wonderful Dad and Grandpa. He helped me out with my kids when I needed and I greatly appreciate that.

Pool & Party's

This is our NEW pool!
After spending hours cleaning the old one...
it got blown around again and Popped.

This is Kinley with lipstick on.
I don't wear lipstick so this doesn't happen often.
When the boys went to fathers & sons a few weeks ago we had a girls party!
Mothers & daughters got together for food, movies, make-up and nail polish.
We let the girls do our hair, make-up and nails.
I wish I would have taken a picture of my toe nails.
They were painted white and it was all over my toes.
We had a blast!!
This is Kinley with her friend Ally.
Ally did Kinley's make-up.
Aren't they cute!
A few days ago I went to a party where we dressed our bananas.
This is Kinley's banana. It got a little brown cause she played with it so much.
This is my banana.
Sexy hula girl.
What fun!!
